Meet the innovator taking on the edtech challenge

Founder of Promethean and LbQ, Tony Cann CBE, is one of the original ed-tech pioneers who introduced technology to over a million classrooms around the world.

But in this surprising BETT talk, Tony explains why his greatest achievement felt more like a disappointment.

Days after his 80th birthday, Tony examines a lifetime of experience and evolution. From Lancashire weaving factories to classrooms across continents, Tony explains how he learned the crucial difference between a tool for change and the change itself.

BETT Arena Thursday 24th January 4.30pm

Meet the teachers transforming education

Deputy Head, Year 6 teacher and TES finalist Maths Teacher of the Year 2018, Andy Done, reveals how he took his primary school from being under local authority review to being in the top 4% for maths progress in the country.

Elisabeth Pugh, who will be featured in January 2019's Teach Secondary Magazine, will be explaining how LbQ can help teachers cover all science curriculum content and Kate Brindle, a digitally published author, will explore the difficulties teachers face when teaching guided reading and how LbQ can help.

On Friday 25th, the hugely popular ICT Mr P will be on the stand sharing his tips on working smarter, not harder, in what are bound to be fun sessions at 1pm and 3pm.
