By Liz Pugh ## As the poem goes: ![alt text](/filestore/BlogImage/cf9fbff5-7d84-437c-8e2a-0153e8dea249/6d7fff13-f828-4805-b3de-d4c1f16be32dEcologyBlogGraphicresized.jpg "") Whether the weather be fine, or whether the weather be not, LbQ has got a range of resources to support the study of ecology, both inside and outside of the classroom. Our resources cover both content and investigations/required practicals and can be used alongside field work to reinforce and embed learning. All LbQ Question Sets are linked to National Curriculum objectives, use key terminology and are designed to help your students deepen their knowledge and understanding, before applying this gained knowledge in different contexts. ![alt text](/filestore/BlogImage/cf9fbff5-7d84-437c-8e2a-0153e8dea249/97e66751-77c9-4fe8-b572-aba27f35957dEcologyimage1.jpg "") Each question comes with feedback that is specific to the question and tailored for each potential answer and misconception. So no more throwing quadrats over the shoulder to achieve a random sample! Investigation and Required Practical Question Sets take learners through the process of planning and carrying out an investigation, and then through analysis and evaluation based on data provided within the questions. These Question Sets: * provide data in the form of tables and graphs * embed mathematical skills * require learners to spot anomalies, calculate mean values and make conclusions * evaluate the validity, accuracy and reproducibility of the data provided * provide a range of exam-style question ![alt text](/filestore/BlogImage/cf9fbff5-7d84-437c-8e2a-0153e8dea249/f09620d6-ae73-425b-9402-fd1755e3ad2eEcologyimage2.jpg "") Whilst we recognise that there is no substitute for taking your students outside to carry out field work, we know that the weather can sometimes prevent this from being an enjoyable option. LbQ's Ecology Question Sets can provide an alternative way to study ecology or they can simply be used to reinforce the scientific principles after a giddy afternoon in the sunshine has resulted in your students' focus drifting away from the quadrats. So whether the weather be fine, or whether the weather be not, LbQ can bring the sunshine to the study of ecology. Click on the links below to view our Ecology content.
